MYFAROG V.2.7, PAGE 64. Just it was one more unclear place in the text. Gold ( g) 1 oz is equivalent of 2 а. 20 s. 1200 м
But what is a meaning of 2 а. 20 s. 1200 м? Is 1 oz of g. 2 а. 20 s. 1200 м nuggets? Is 1 oz of g. 2 oz of а. 20 oz of s. 1200 oz of м? 4 oz = 32 nuggets 4 oz = 62. 5 grams (15.625 * 4) 1 oz = 8 nuggets (32 / 4) 1 oz = 15.625 grams 8 nuggets = 15.625 grams 1 nugget = 1.953125 gram (15.625 / 8) (1.95 gram or 2 gram rounded up) 1.953125 grams * 32 nuggets is 62.5 grams that equals to 4 oz
A length of an one nugget is from 1 cm to 1.5 cm., its height is approximately 1 cm and width is ≈ 1 cm. I tried to figure it out. For example to purchase a service of a cargo ship costs you pay 36 g. or 43 200 c. So, is it 36 gold nuggets or 36 ounces of gold nuggets? (MYFAROG v.2.7, page 65) I were confused with it, because if you commit Colour Crime you must pay 5 silver nuggets (MYFAROG v.2.7, page 11). A saddle costs 5 s (MYFAROG v.2.7., page 67) and I couldn't understand what means 5 s Is it just 5 silver nuggets or 5 oz of silver??? As I asked about it above. I tended to think it's 5 oz of silver and all prices into ounces, because there is a logical way that explains that an abbreviation for a silver is ' s' and ' s' means 1 oz and 1 oz of silver is equivalent of 30 oz of b. 60 oz of c. 120 oz of i though. The table of abbreviations and equivalents for metals shows it to us (MYFAROG v.2.7, page 64) If so, and all prices in ounces that fine for a Colour Crime is really cheap!

But you know, guys, I am really in doubt with prices are into ounces...Yeah, that table of abbreviations of names of metals and equivalents on page 64 (MYFAROG v. 2. 7) shows equivalents to us to give players to know courses of metals only. But prices aren't into ounces. Prices are into amounts of single nuggets though. Because if you pay 5 silver nuggets for a fine when you commit a Colour Crime, for what must you pay prices of goods into ounces? Maybe that table just shows courses of metals to us to we know how much money do you have if you have got several ounces or an one ounce. Yeah, it's definitely! One more reason to think so is if you get oz of metals Varg pointed on it in the text. For example, you get some oz of a metal when you pick up a personal possession of a dead character (MYFAROG v. 2. 7, page 63). Another case, Varg didn't write ' oz' in price lists, but only abbreviations of names of metals. So, it means you pay by nuggets for goods or services, not by ounces.

Next, let's check that table of abbreviations of names of metals and courses on page 64 (MYFAROG v. 2. 7). but consider
2.7 book p69 shows herbs at 1oz being 5c (or 5oz copper), so it is possible to convert non-metal oz into metal oz as well. Likewise, a sorcerers staff is worth 2c + the sacred material, so that means minus the sacred material the wood used for the staff is 2c regardless of the tree from which it is cut.
So if you start a sorcerer, he rolls no starting money because he gets all 1's on character creation, you're stuck using herbs or some other material as currency. To make things harder, you can only gather materials that don't require cutting. So a sorcerer using an earth staff (assume earth since it's easiest to get the ingredients) you would need at a minimum 2oz of copper to construct your staff (assuming the crafter has no surcharge on gathering materials and actually constructing it)
So a starting sorcerer could gather and sell some materials to build the staff worth their weight in copper (oz) nuggets. 1 oz of herbs (berries or mushrooms, etc that can be harvested without using a sharp object as per p19 "Special to Sorcerers" could afford 5c and exchanged for a simple staff made of the most common tree in Scandinavia) You'd have 2c for materials and 3c for construction.
But I don't see anywhere that the material of the staff is priced. Do we assume all wooden materials are the same price? E.g. all staffs are 2c construction even if it's a rare wood type?

I suppose instead of trying to convert different types of quality of bows, staffs, lyres, etc based on their type of tree used to construct them, you could use p25 "crafts" and just use the crafting result which indicates the value. So a well constructed sorcerers staff or bow might be "high quality" in which case the real value * 3. So something like that might be (just looking at the toughness of different trees online)
Soft trees like Redwood (wouldn't use it ideally and I don't think they grow in Thule) - Below average quality = 2c * 0.75 Heart Pine - Average quality = 2c Birch - Above average = 2c * 1.5 Ash - High = 2c * 3
Oak - Very High = 2c * 6
Interesting to think about material crafting in relation to oz. But what type of materials players choose is probably not necessary to know. Too much detail might ruin the purpose of the crafting. Fun to consider though if it is needed for a game ever.

I'm more curious why there are no tree types for wooden items in MyFarog, particularly regarding sorcerers staffs. However, they do appear in "Sorcery and Religion in Ancient Scandinavia". Pine for instance is a tree dedicated to Heimdallr, of whom had three sons: Praell, Karl and Earl. Of the three only Earl was deemed worthy by Odinn. So I would presume a sorcerer may only use a pine staff if he is a noble like Earl. Maybe MyFarog isn't canon to S&R though and that's why it's left out.

1 oz = 1 nugget is impossible. A reason why it's impossible you can find on page 67 of MYFAROG v. 2. 7. There is the list of goods that includes a pouch of 1 c price. It's written a capacity of a pouch equals to 4 oz and 1 pouch can store 32 nuggets. It means that 32 nuggets = 4 oz. If so we can calculate a weight of an one nugget. MYFAROG v. 2. 7, page 64 shows us 1 ounce ( oz) = 15. 625 g. Let's calculate it! 1 pouch = 4 oz or 62. 5 g 1 pouch = 32 nuggets 62. 5 g / 32 nuggets = 1. 953125 g is a weight of an one nugget ( 2 g or 1. 95 g (rounded up). So, 1 nugget = 1. 953125 g
Now, let's calculate how many nuggets in 1 oz. 32 nuggets / 4 oz = 8 nuggets in 1 oz. After it we need to check our result. Maybe we made a mistake with calculations. 1. 953125 g * 8 nuggets = 15. 625! Okay, we found it that a weigh of an one nugget = 1. 953125 g or 0. 125 oz ( 1 oz / 8 nuggets = 0. 125 oz) Yeah, you can buy some goods by 4 oz of herbs for example. Anyway, it depends on a case. Maybe some person doesn't need herbs and he'll ask you to pay with another type of things (services) or ounces of metal nuggets. Yes, I think different sorts of trees can cost more or less. It also depends on how high a quality of a wooden stuff is. The better quality, the higher a price. Check page 25 of MYFAROG v. 2. 7 out (' Crafts' Skill). According that table if you'd like to buy a wooden stuff of a Divine Quality, it'll cost 5 * 20 = 100 c. instead of just 5 c. Of course, if it's a rare wood, it will cost much more. A trouble is there is no information what different sorts of woods give you. A stuff from a birch or oak. What kind of advantages these opposed woods give you? Nothing about it there. Only a quality gives you the information how powerful your thing is.

Too much detail might ruin the purpose of the crafting. Yes, if it's too much detail it can make your game impossible, because we don't know all things the humanity already knows (collected) about the Universe in while. For example, how to make a sword (detailed instruction)? It's beyond me. I have no idea. Also, I'm sure if we ask some blacksmith how to make a sword, he'll tell us a long story about all steps of a crafting process to produce a real sword. Sorts of metals, temperature, what kind of instruments you need, what instruments are better than other and so forth. It's the art and science how to do it. I'm also sure, we won't understand a lot of terms from that blacksmith. So, it doesn't matter in a game context, yep. Nevertheless, we can bring more details from the real world into a game like this kind of RPG. It's not how it happens in a computer RPGs. When you play computer games there is other logic ways how to do things. It's so just because of a computer is a machine it has its restrictions. So, if we bring a lot of details about how to do something in a computer game, as we do it it our real lives, it'll be extremely boring or even impossible at all. A lot of things gonna be much more simple in computer games than it happens with us in our lives. For example, a 3D model in a shooter recharges a gun like the GOD! No mistakes. Your character does it with a high accuracy and really FAST! Excellent reflexes! In the reality no one of us can do it like that character. Check how people recharge a weapon in a real situation out. It doesn't happen so perfectly. Otherwise, we can do things much more detail when we play MYFAROG for example. It happens with us with a reason we use our brain/minds (imaginations) and our brains still be better than computers yet. So, we can do many difficult actions by our imaginations just in few seconds or immediately. We can 'freeze' situations, make actions in slow motion to think it over and understand each other really good when we communicate and explain what happens in our minds. Something like this, you know!!

Maybe, it's was really difficult to write his own role-playing game. Yes, there is lots of details that you can use in the MYFAROG open world, but Varg can't include every factor in his game. He would write his game forever.

I thought maybe it was intentional to exclude it to show it is pre-Celtic Druids or some other meaning.
If it wasn't I did not intend to suggest someone should be typing up 3,000 new pages to include everything in the world in the game : D

Goddammit! I gonna insane with these calculations in the game!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 NO, GUYS! PRICES ARE NOT INTO NUGGETS!!! PRICES ARE INTO OUNCES! If we check prices lists out we can see that an 1 Sun Stone costs 1 g. or 1200 c. and Quartz Magnifying Glass costs 3 g. or 3600 c. (MYFAROG v. 2. 7, page 67). Next, let's check that table of abbreviations of names of metals and courses on page 64 (MYFAROG v. 2. 7). We see that 1 oz of gold equals to 1200 c. and if we multiply 3 g. by 1200, so we have a result equals to 3600. 3600 c. or 3 g. are prices for a Quartz Magnifying Glass. IT'S OKAY! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 1oz = 1nugget on p64 at the top left paragraph
but consider
By the way, check how a nugget looks like out. www.goldrushnuggets.com/1augonu.html?fbclid=IwAR3TPW1nHLFZrzZwp19HrAcDIl_KWkaO8_WXsY8NVbA-XQrfmxTGLOGSRyMIt's a really small thing.
