Under the duration for the Calm Creature spell it reads, "2D6 minutes (creature PL * 1) or 1 hour (creature PL * 2)." Just under this is the table listing the PL of the spell in regards to calming various creatures, as well as the deity/element. I am not exactly sure how to interpret this (?).
Does it simply mean that if the PL of the spell for the creature is 1, it lasts 2D6 minutes, and if the PL of the spell is 2 than the spell lasts 1 hour? What about PLs higher than 2? Can you optionally spend more Stamina or FP in an attempt to double the creature PL to have the spell last for an hour (my best guess)?
I have a bit of similar confusion in regards to the duration for Summon Creature.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Well.
Just opened the book and read this for the first time :)
2D6 minutes is for creatures power level multiplied by 1 and for 1 hour you multiply the power level by 2.
Ie. Boars PL is 1 but Giant Boars is 3. If you want to calm Boar for 2D6 minutes it's 1 * 1 and for the Giant Boar it's 3 * 1. Then for an hour it's for the Boar 1 * 2 and for the Giant Boar 3 * 2.
Makes sense?
At least this is how I would use it.
I'm not sure about the FP usage.. ain't those for the skills and such? Is spell casting a skill?
Probably someone with more experience can help on these FP's and such.

Okay, that makes sense. Thank you man. As for the Stamina/FP, Sorcerers use Stamina to cast spells and Religious characters use Favour Points (both equal to the PL of the spell/favour being used).

Right right.
Haven't really spend any attention to the spell casting thing yet.
Like I said... I'm really not so good reading rules through... I just browse through and get the basic idea and then jump here and there when there is need for it. Like now out of curiosity :)

Ain't that why we are here?
No problem!
I'll look that revised winds and such later... just remembered that one. I need some downtime before that.
