I think it doesn't matter. If we have to play a game through this forum each of us can send his message here and when all solutions of players will be ready it means that a myth master can write what happens next. I think so. I think you didn't quite understand ... We were not talking about play-by-post game here. Or at least I wasn't. Online live session. Hence we need to arrange time that is ok for everyone participating ... This was the reason I already said that I have game Sundays Mondays, usually, from 2am my time and it lasts usually arounf 4 hours. So that slot is not going to fit. And then I need to sleep. Takes some arranging to get date and time everyone can play.

Takes some arranging to get date and time everyone can play. It's a problem. First yes, I can write in English correctly and read texts or messages, but my spoken English (also pronunciation) is terrible. I can't understand more than 90 per cents English speech when I hear it, because it's difficult for me nowadays (truly difficult!). Second reason why I can't use online sessions with you guys is I have a lot of deals and I try to use all my time with maximum a 'useful profit' for myself. For example I need to learn lots of English lessons with courses, I'll plan to read several books about difference topics etc. Main reason is you will suffer with me when we will play game through online sessions, because I'm a beginner. Really, it will be truly difficult to play game online with me how I wrote it above. Actually, I often get tired and difference time zones aren't cool when you even a bit fall asleep. I mean I have my own life tempo, you know. If you think than it isn't a problem when a game is slo-o-ow and hard, and rarely, because people can't understand each other fluently. That's okay! One more time, difference time zones not a convenient thing. Also, I can't play game in night time. I need a rest, ha! I hope I explained all my reasons clear for you Sad, but it's the truth.

Ha! This time came again! You can see in MYFAROG 2.7 these words 'Cut/Shock effect'. I seem it means that what you can see on the these pictures. I mean only the Cut effect. Am I right? Attachments:

Pretty much. I think it was ADnD 3 where they introduced a similar concept too: you are at negative health but can still be revived for a brief time - different to resurrection which is returning from the dead. Basically once you take so much damage you are near finished but can still recover. Pretty cheers, Illithid! I just a bit doubted about a meaning of this word in this context. Just, I know several meanings of the word 'cut' and also, I know that 'cut' the word has more meanings. Slang in the same list too. By the way, do you know someone who speaks Norwegian in this forum? I have one issue. I watched Varg's videos when he explained pronunciations of names of runes as Fêhu, Raipô and ancient gods' names as TîwaR, Hadnur etc. I listed to his pronounce and made Russian transcriptions for these words. Next I saw that his book has more words in Norwegian (e.g. pages number 136, 139, 153 - 158 etc). Actually, I'd like to some person (who speaks Norwegian well or fluently) will record a voice message with right pronunciations of these difference words. Next I'll make correctly Russian transcriptions. Of course, first I will make a full list of unknown words from MYFAROG 2.7. for it. Thanks!

Didn't really understood your pictures and their relation to the two different types of damage. Cuts possibly cause bleeding and shocks possibly cause stun, knock-down or KO ... Cuts are very dangerous in MYFAROG, since bleeding is very deadly. Just like in real life deep cuts and big bleeding leads to unconsciousness very fast and if not stopped ultimately to death. This is simulated in MYFAROG very well IMO. Unlike many RPGs in general where characters can bleed around for minutes or more and still not fall on the ground lights off. These are explained in your rulebook well at the very beginning of the "Combat Rules" section starting from page 39. Just like those measurements are explained in detail at their own section at the page 64. You should pay some more attention to the rulebook and you would see more answers than questions :)

Yeah .. that gay-cowboy might have most accurate reconstruction of old-norse out there. I have enjoyed his translations so far. At some point might order this new one also. But it's really hard to know how precisely some words were pronounced when we are talking about old or dead languages.
Dialects and such in modern day are very different from area to area. I think same goes to all languages.

Just like those measurements are explained in detail at their own section at the page 64. You should pay some more attention to the rulebook and you would see more answers than questions Why did I ask about the word cut? Because the word cut has many difference meanings. Yeah, I saw 'Cut/Shock Effect' in context, but it still to be not so clear. For example, a woman thrown a spear (or a javelin) to person. That person tried to attack that woman before it, but a spear (or a javelin) hit him with a great strength blow. What's next? He certainly falls dawn, because strength of a flying spear (or a flying javelin) has a lot of power. That hit to person will be hard and a person can't stay on his feet more after this. He doesn't dying, because if you was injure by spear it doesn't mean that you certainly die immediately. First, you fall down on ground, the second step you can get Shock Effect (if it was a surprise for you). Anyway it doesn't happen with you every day. When a spear (or a javelin) hits you, suddenly! You just say or think ' Oh my mind! Needs help!', but you still alive yet. Well, it means that first, your enemy cut you down, but you don't have a lot of wounds as it happens when someone just cut you all by dagger or sax. When a spear (or a javelin) injured you this means you just have one wound and a spear in this wound (you need to remove it from your body). I mean it's not necessary that you bleed as a victim of a maniac. All of this above mean that the word Cut can have the meaning when someone just make you down on ground by weapon or a strength blow (e.g. on your head). Even by strength blow of weapon on your head. Also, you can see on pictures from real life when a person take an injure by diving spear and he doesn't bleed a lot. He just sits down because a diving javelin cut him off and he feels shock.Next someone has tried to kill a China man by spear! Ha! OMG! Anyway, he didn't die. Also, a cat and a dog were shoot by arrow and they don't bleed (quite to die from it). They still alive and just need a medicine help. I tried to explain this. IMO

'Cut' in the book means some kind of damage. Not like a 'punch' which is occasionally said like 'he cut him down with a punch'. It's more like 'he was cut with the sword'.
There are several dialects of Norse: modern, new norse, and old norse. The dialects differ depending on where you live in the area as well. However, people have tried to reconstruct pronunciation in several different ways. I think that Dr. Jackson Crawford has one of the correct ways you can find his video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH0ZhhGwCOQ but I cannot say for sure.
The word 'Rus' is enigmatic but I believe it is related to the word Goðs. You can see the relation in a Christian text (I'm not aware if it shows in any pagan texts) in the 'Runic Bible' used to convert the pagans of Germany and Eastern Europe. In Gothic runic you will find the word for the Goðs written as 𐌲𐌸𐍃 which transliterates to 'Gods'. It looks strangely similar to Rus though and I think it is just the same word at some time in history.
Thanks for this video! It's interesting for me in the same way, but you just a bit misunderstood me. I don't need a pronunciation of runes. I just would like to know how to pronounce several Norway words from MYFAROG 2.7 correctly. For example you can see some Norwegian words on pages 140 - 141 (MYFAROG 2.7).
