Just arrived! Haven't got time to look into it, but immediately like the Hamingja addition ... and that flaws from Curses & Gifts are included. Will go this one through asap one got some more slack. Looks like a very good update and without any PC B$ :D

Still need to pick this up. Does it completely replace 2.7?

hi, got myfariog 3.0 one week ago. Honestly i like the more the old 2.7 version. espicially the setting and the human bands. the new version has has something interesting. The new Hamingja rules are great, i will include them in the 2.7 version; and the "weaker" sorcery rules are perfect for the new 3.0 thule, a "deacying" thule. but i definitely don't like new races and the new setting as a whole. i did read that varg wanted this new set of thule as a sort of "Thule after the Coming", but i prefer to keep them separated: thule in the old ways on side and the near future gloomy the coming on the other. i also have to add that the actual campaign i'm playing is just about the risk of thule getting perverted by a big, secret degeenrate plot therefore i'm not sympathetic with this new setting. maybe in the future i will adopt the 3.0 version because as i've said it is fascinating but this new scenario just could have been a new expansion for the previous version, not a new edition of the whole game. ok, that's all. bye!

Worlds change. So do our world and so do Thulê. If people are not willing to hold and fight for something that is good and beautiful, most likely it will be gone forever.
One might not like what is happening and where it might lead to, but if one doesn't do something about it Hamingja is negative, right?
Yes, those are two different settings and there are many changes. One can choose which Thulê it is where adventures happen. That is the thing about RPG's ... It doesn't work in the real life unfortunately.
Like Bob Ross used to say "It's up to you, it's your painting. You choose where happy little cloud lives."

I recently buyed the v.3 setting and waiting its arrival. I want to use these rules to run adventures in Middle Earth too. Looks like are very easy to convert MERP to Myfarog v.3.

The thing I don't understand about Myfarog 3 is where do all of the humans live now that their tribal lands are taken over by the Wraiths. And is it even possible for those tribal seats to be taken back again? Also I don't know how I feel about the Gods not being present as they were on Thule anymore.

I'm looking forward to picking this up myself pretty soon! I love how affordable, unique and accessible Varg's work truly is! Having owned and studied off and on V. 2.7 but never ran a game of it, I'll still buy V 3.0 and study it, but I'll continue to run games in the Old Thule' before running 3.0 proper. I may be able to incorporate hints of the world fluctuating/changing into my later games before seguing into this new territory or at the least start adding new things bit by bit into the mix once my player(s) are comfortable in the world that 2.7 takes place in.
In any case, having those options to do the above I think are neat and welcome!

How about animistic spirit of the place? Word "God" is kinda twisted by monotheist desert slavery.

Arith Harger had some videos on it I think but he said Seidr is for women and gender bending sounding and I got confused and lost interest. Don't waste time on that vegetarian "pagan". Asatru was something he said was his thing, If I remember correctly, which is christianised whatever. Vegetarianism is a good tell that someone isn't probably trust worthy :D
