Hi,
I am pretty new to MYFAROG and most RPG's.
I loved Elder Scrolls and WH 40K/Fantasy growing up but not much exposure to games like MERP/D&D unfortunately.
Ive really enjoyed the Modules I can find and thought I would take a shot at a Scenario since I really enjoy the MYFAROG World.
Myth Mod/Idea is called:
"Snow Blind"
-28th day of Hemenaberga (Winter)
Skanthinawio - Berki Village
Clear Sky, 6 Degrees,
The AP has traveled to the neighboring village to visit the Berki tribe for the celebration of the Winter Solstice.
It was a very difficult trip to reach your destination and after a nice stay you have decided to return homeward.
The snow is now thick across the land as it has been a very harsh winter in the land of Thule, with recent storms making things much worse.
The travel roadways are typically maintained to some degree and for this reason you have decided to hire a carriage to make your journey easier than foot.
A light breeze from the South-east cools your skin as you arrive at the villages stables.
There you speak to a man named Sergius; A taller, older Thulean, that started working as a Courier but since purchasing a quality built carriage has expanded to chauffeuring more wealthy Thulean's around. He informs the AP that for "the right price" he you can leave early the following morning since the weather has been so poor and "we should beat it while we can lads". You all agree that it is a reasonable price and retire for the night.
[The evening can be spent by the AP purchasing supplies if needed. A room and food are already provided to the AP courtesy of the village]
-1st day of Landawidur (Just after sunrise)
Skanthinawio - Berki Village
In the morning Sergius introduces you to his guard (Hicetas) and they help you load your supplies.
You leave bright and early to get a good start on the day. About an hour after leaving the village the snow begins to lightly fall, but by noontime it has become a heavy downpour of snow. You stop for a noontime meal provided by Sergius and then continue on your way. The horses of the carriage begin to struggle on the pathway with the rising snow but they carry on for another 2 hours. "Rough trip here Lads" Sergius says over the growing wind. "But not the worst I ever seen, ha ha."
An hour later the horses begin crossing a crest of a rather steep and winding hill. The wind begins to blow hard against the carriage, Suddenly one of the horses legs gives out and breaks. The whole convoy stops abruptly.
Sergius upon seeing his horse, immediate panics and jumps from the carriage down into the snow below.
He is very distraught and begins to sob (as he is aware there is not much he can do for his prized horse, especially in these rough conditions.)
Hicetas' face widens with panic also (seeing this grave situation of being stranded in the cold). He immediately dashes to the other horse, jumps on, and begins to cut it free from the wagon.
Sergius frantically clambers out of the snow but as he gains his footing. Hicetas darts down the path of the hill and out of sight...
The AP sit horrified in the enclosed wooden carriage at what has unfolded.
Sergius had begun chasing after Hicetas but seeing him disappear down the hill, he slow begins to make his way back.
He stops and comforts his horse for a few moments then he humanely puts down his horse with a dagger he pulls from his waistband.
He then starts making his way back to the carriage.
As he finally steps in from the cold he says, "Well. What do we want to do now Lads?"
-1st day of Landawidur (Mid day)
Unknown pathway at the site of the Carriage wreck.
(Optional DM/GM Can roll for weather change if they wish)
While Sergius cleans off the horses blood and warms himself in the carriage, the AP begin to look around for what supplies are around,
You find:
On the Seat of the carriage:
(x1) Waterskin -(1/2 full of mostly frozen water [needs to be thawed before use])
(x1) Waterskin -Ale (1/2 full) (Probably Hicetas')
In a trunk in the carriage:
(x1) 2lb Hammer
(x8) 1oz Candles (Wax)
(x2) 4oz Bandages
(x1) 1ma Ink (In Small Bottle)
(x3) 1oz Parchment
(x3) 2lb Oil flasks (Full)
In a food conpartment:
(x1) Bottle -Average Wine (Full)
(x1) Bottle - Milk (1/2 Full)
(x1) Barrel Fish (1/2 Full)
(x1) Barrel Grain (1/2 Full)
(x2) Field Rations
(x4) 1oz Herbs
If the AP wishes they can spend D6 rounds (each) stripping the carriage of:
(x2) 6ft - Iron Chains
(x1) Lantern
(x1) Saddle (off dead horse)
Horse Meat is available but Sergius would not be pleased, unless there is no other sources of food.
If AP comes back at a later time to retrieve the horse meat, cast [ 3D6 + 5 ] to see how much is left from predator scavenging.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The AP's main goal is survival and reaching the nearest town.
For long traveling times "Snow Blindness" could be added as a rule:
Eye coverage (Hood or improvised like bandages) needed for more than 3 hours of travel in sunny weather. Otherwise character suffers 'lvl 1 Bad sight Flaw' for 1 day (or longer).
If they stay in the bright snow light it can progress to a level 2 or 3.
I feel like it has potential.
- The Carriage can be revisited for more supplies.
- Lots of hunting and foraging opportunities
- Random animal encounters could keep things interesting
- Bandit raids at the cabin could be used
- Frost Ettins could also be included in area
- Avalanches or snow barriers can change the landscape
The Hunters cabin may be a good place to take haven while supplies are gathered.
There could be a bandit tower to the north west just off the pathway if the AP choose to stick it out and follow the path to town with just the large tent.
They can ask Sergius to join the AP or blame him for the whole thing.
Happy Gaming,
Son of Thule

After Sergius has fully warmed up he tells the AP that there is a small hunters cabin to the South-East of the carriage, he is not sure how far exactly (2hr?), But you could seek refuge for the night. Then mentions that there is also (x1) Large tent in the back of the carriage. He says that "it has seen better days and is rather heavy".
That is all I really have for a solid module now..

The Hunters cabin may be a good place to take haven while supplies are gathered.
-if they visit they may find it was recently abandoned, tracks of several hunters head south of the cabin.
they eventually find the hunters dead (Ettins could be introduced here)There could be a bandit tower to the north west just off the pathway if the AP choose to stick it out and follow the path to town with just the large tent.
They can ask Sergius to join the AP or blame him for the whole thing.
What will happen? {Lets Find Out.}
