From one of the sections on medicine, it is implied that the players are not able to cast spells in the Coming. However, Rune Lore is not one of the removed skills, so how exactly would it work in the Coming?

In the Coming? What means the phrase 'in the Coming'?

That's a good question in the op. I don't really have an answer except get creative.
To the other guy: The Coming is a modern version of MYFAROG available as a supplement.

Since this is resurrected and wandered into my screen .. I'd say there is not much to be creative with ... as it's explained in the pages 4 and 5 ... there is no Character Role, but player picks 4 skills to represent characters "Character Role".
In the example there is said the following:
Just like Rune Lore our time is more or less scholarly thingie and not what it have been in the olden days ...

I have re-read the 2.7 Myfarog section on healing, makes no mention of The Coming or inability to cast spells. Also re-read the sections on page 28 and 48 for healing mental health & critical damage and nothing there. Maybe he has a different book than I do. How is it? I seem the MYFAROG 2.7 is the MYFAROG 2.7 for all, innit? It must be a correctly copy of original Varg's MYFAROG 2.7. book like my copy of original in the same way. 100%
